Our origins can be traced back to the widespread interest in antique automobile collecting in the Baltimore, Maryland area during the early 1950s and the concerted efforts of several of those collectors to organize a local club.
Having a familiarity with the national Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) and its activities, a decision was made to organize a new Baltimore area AACA Region, to be named Chesapeake Region.
A petition for a Regional Charter was submitted to and approved by the AACA National Board of Directors on April 30, 1955.
We have grown to become one of the largest of the more than 400 AACA Regions and Chapters and continue to remain a very active club.
